Brett Kavanaugh 2 (Hearing) ブレット・カバナー 2

昨日は午前中は提訴側クリスティン ブレイジー フォード教授、午後はガバナー候補の証言、聴問会でした。
36年前、当時彼女が15才の時の話だそうです。カントリークラブだのパーティだのハイソな言葉が出てきます。皆んなが1階にいるときにガバナーともう1人、マークジャッジという現在の作家に2階の部屋のベッドに押し倒されたこと、2人が笑っていたこと(お酒を飲んでいたようです)、レイプされるのでは？口をふさがれ殺されるのでは？などフォード教授は当時の恐怖体験を説明しました。
さてガバナーは最初から怒っている様子で終始起訴内容を否定し、名誉棄損、家族が苦しんでいる、学生時代は勉学、スポーツに必死に励んでいたなど言い訳を述べ、輝かしいキャリアの持ち主に対して一体全体なんなんだ！という言動で落ち着きがなく、中立の立場であるべき判事が民主党に対しこの茶番劇はなんだ！と声を荒げ反論したのです。
今日はころころ場面が目まぐるしく変わり…。本来なら大統領の任命に今日採決がなされ最高裁判事ガバナーとして承認が行われていた可能性が高かったのですが、なんと1週間延期になり、FBIの捜査が行われることになりました。
何か有力な証拠が見つかってほしいものです。

キャピタルヒルでの採決は混乱の一日となった。司法議委員会はすでにカバナーのノミネーションを進める投票を行っていたが、最後にフレーク議員の同意が求められた際、アリゾナ共和党の彼は制限付き(1週間)の調査（FBIの捜査）を求めたのだ。

According to her testimony, the incident was when she was 15 years old. Country club, Party, etc. the world that Japanese ordinary mom has no idea… She testified that she was attacked when she was on the second floor for bathroom by 2 men (boys). Kavanaugh was the one who was over her and tried to take her clothes off. He covered her mouth because she cried out for help. She thought he would rape her or kill her accidentally. What she remembers clearly was they were drunk and laughing out loud.
On the other hand, Kavanaugh’s face was kind of funny. He was angry from the beginning. It looked like a spoiled rebellious age boy’s complaining (sorry it is my opinion). He was complaining that this whole situation ruined his career, his family’s reputation, everything. He was insisting he had been working so hard for studying, playing sports, etc. His behavior at the hearing was awful (my opinion). It seemed the worst thing was that he yelled at Democratic senators because 'judge' had to be in neutrality.

The decision capped a confusing day on Capitol Hill, where the Senate Judiciary Committee voted along party lines to advance Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination, but only by agreeing to a last-minute demand by Senator Jeff Flake, Republican of Arizona, to conduct a time-limited inquiry.
Hope FBI will find evidence!!
